Tigers are apex predators, occupying the top of the food chain in their ecosystems. Their diet primarily consists of large ungulates, such as deer, wild boar, and water buffalo. Tigers are incredibly skilled hunters, capable of taking down prey that is much larger and heavier than themselves.

About the picture

This male tiger was also photographed in Ranthambore National Park in 2017. He was continuously roaring and pacing around Rajbhag Lake in Zone 3, searching for a female. After circling the lake for an hour, he met his lady love, and they began mating behind a bush. They then vanished into the forest.

Fun Fact

Tigers are adept swimmers and can easily cross rivers and lakes that are 5 miles (8 km) wide.
