About the picture

The beauty of Sattal is that all you need to do is have tonnes of patience and sit in one place, and soon enough you’ll see multiple species of birds. We were photographing another bird when this Himalayan Black Bulbul sat on a branch close to us and obliged me for a photograph.

Fun Fact

The Himalayan Black Bulbul has been reported to make a call resembling a baby goat, even throwing its neck back when calling.
