Did you know?
Tigers have played a significant role in various cultures and mythologies throughout history. In many Asian countries, tigers are revered as symbols of power, strength, and protection. Sadly, without sustained conservation efforts, these awe-inspiring creatures could face an uncertain future in the wild.
About the picture
This image of two adorable 10-month-old tiger cubs interacting was taken in Tadoba National Park in June 2018. These are the cubs of the legendary tigress of Tadoba–Maya. It was delightful to watch them be very playful in the open when their mother was around but scurry inside the forest and hide whenever she left them to go hunt.
Fun Fact
While the tiger is an expert hunter, only one in every 20 hunts ends in a kill. In areas where prey is scarce, even fewer hunts are successful.
