About the picture

It was a hot day in March and the forest was already beginning to show signs of drying out. There were some pockets of green, especially near the lakes and the Flame of the Forest trees were in full bloom. A lone Sambar stag was walking up the rocky embankment and it looked like he had also been enjoying a dip in the cool waters. I love the contrast of the red flowering trees with the golden hues of the grass and the gorgeous sambar stag.

Fun Fact

Adult males can weigh up to 550 kg.
