This photograph of the Red-Billed Leiothrix was taken in March 2022 in Sattal, Uttarakhand. It was a cold day and after waiting patiently for a long time, we were able to see this gorgeous bird perch on a low branch.

Fun Fact

During the breeding season, the male Leiothrix sings long complex songs with a wide array of syllables to attempt to attract the female.
