About the picture

This group of 4 Masai Giraffes was out for a stroll, grazing along the way when I took this photograph. The leaf-like splotches of dark brown that are symbolic of the Masai Giraffe can be seen prominently. This photo was clicked at Masai Mara in 2016.

Fun Fact

The Masai Giraffe’s tongue is 50 centimeters (20 inches) in length. The tongue is prehensile and can wrap around and grab leaves from tall trees that are inaccessible to other animals.
