About the picture
During a safari at Nagarhole National Park, we encountered this pack of Dhole. They seemed very relaxed and playful. Soon, two of them started playing by jumping on each other and chasing one another between the trees. Play is one of the ways that family bonds within a Dhole clan are strengthened. I was able to take this photo of an adorable moment between two playful wild dogs.
Fun Fact
Within a clan, Dholes go through an elaborate pre-hunt social ritual that involves nuzzling, body rubbing, and mounting.
