About the picture
This huge male with a single tusk, emerged out of the Kabini River in Nagarhole National Park and posed for this picture. Elephants love spending time in waterbodies and this fellow certainly looked like he enjoyed his dip in the water.
Fun Fact
The Asiatic Elephant’s trunk has only one fingerlike tip at the end, making it easier for the Asian Elephant to wrap its trunk around a food item. In contrast, African elephants have two tips that enable them to pick things up using the tip of their trunk.
