Did you know?

These pretty small birds, just 12 - 13 cms with 9 - 10 gms, are endemic to the Galápagos and Cocos Island. While Yellow Warblers are found all the way from North America to Peru, The Galapagos Babblers have slight differences. Male have yellow-olive above and bright-yellow at below, with chestnut on the crown and chestnut streaks on the breast.

Probably the most ubiquitous songbird in the Galápagos, the Galápagos Warblers’ has a very wide range of singing melodies that are pleasant to the ear and it is easy to distinguish from other birds. Their song resembles those of other forms of the American Yellow Warbler

These Warblers lay from 2 to 5 eggs that in occasions can take about 100 days to hatch
