The Black Rhinoceros or Hook-Lipped Rhinoceros is a species of rhinoceros, native to eastern and southern Africa Although the species is referred to as black, its colours vary from brown to grey. The species is classified as critically endangered and is threatened by multiple factors including poaching and habitat reduction. Sadly, it is estimated that only around 3,142 mature individuals remain in the wild.
